Érotiq is a project born in Rome that merges electronica, noise, and industrial with trap/hyperpop sounds and samples from ethnic music.
Thematically, érotìq offers a total immersion into the cynicism and hypocrisy of the contemporary world, tracing the collapse of symbolic structures and the nihilistic drift of mass society.
Trap has normalized violence, power, and domination, even for those who have never truly experienced that reality. Érotiq pushes this normalization to its extreme, creating a dystopian prophecy where totalitarian power is embodied in the very language of trap.
The fascination with a raw and distorted Imaginary is represented by the frantic search for Photos and Videos, hidden on the internet, sourced from other parts of the world. The result is a current and oppressive collage that evokes the contemporary subject's experience of constant hyperstimulation.
